Parkland on the Twickel estate
Twentsche Golfclub has been part of the Delden landscape since 1926, laid out on the historic Twickel estate near Ambt Delden in Overijssel. The 18-hole parkland course was designed by Thomas J.A. Macauley and plays to a par of 72 over 6,279 metres, winding through natural rolls in the land and mature trees. The greens are known for their pace, which gives the round its character.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 8.0 out of 10 from 374 ratings, and on Hole19 it scores 4.4 out of 5 from 98 ratings (checked 5 September 2026). Twentsche Golfclub is a members-with-introduction club, and a valid handicap (GVB or NGF card) is required to play. Visitors are welcome — arrange an introduction through a member or contact the club ahead of your visit, and bring your handicap certificate on the day. Online tee-time booking is available. The green fee is €80 for 18 holes and €45 for 9 holes.
For practice there is plenty: a covered driving range, a putting green, a short-game area, practice bunkers, a pro shop, and a restaurant with a bar and terrace to finish the day. Buggy, club and trolley rental are all on hand.

Before a round on a fast, tree-lined course I focus my students on putting pace and a repeatable ball flight — precision over power is the key, and the academy on site means you can combine a lesson and a round in the same visit.

Precision before power
Fast greens and narrow, tree-lined fairways reward the golfer who can put the ball in play and control pace on the putting surface. That is exactly the part of the game I most enjoy building with my students — a repeatable swing and a confident putting stroke turn a demanding parkland course from a test into a real pleasure.

Where is the club and is there parking?
Twentsche Golfclub is at Almelosestraat 17, 7495 TG Ambt Delden, set on the historic Twickel estate near Delden in Overijssel. From Utrecht the drive is roughly 1 hour 50 minutes via the A1. Parking is available on site.
Can I take a golf lesson with Marina Romanik here?
