Haarlemmermeersche Golf Club sits in the open polder near Cruquius, in Noord-Holland. From the club’s own description, the course spreads across three landscapes at once: typical Dutch countryside between the Ringvaart and the Meerbos, and quieter stretches of parkland planted with young oak forest — a green, roomy corner of the busy Randstad. It plays as 27 holes, laid out as three nine-hole loops at par 72, so you can mix and match your round.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.3 out of 10 from 455 ratings, and on Hole19 it scores 4.5 out of 5 from 242 ratings — a steady, well-liked parkland course rather than a one-time novelty.
The three-loop shape is what makes it flexible. Play nine holes after work, or link two loops for a full 18. The variety is a real gift for a player who is growing: different combinations keep the round fresh and let you build course experience without ever getting bored of the same nine.
Suits improving players and club golfers who are ready for 27-hole variety first, and beginners working toward their handicap through the club’s own academy. The difficulty is moderate — a fair, honest test that gives you room to learn.
Two things to know before you plan a visit. This is an introduction club: you play as a guest of a member, so you need that connection first. You also need a valid handicap — a GVB card or certificate — to tee off here.
If you are still working toward your GVB, the on-site academy is a natural first step, and lessons are the quickest, happiest way to get card-ready. To warm up on the day there is a floodlit driving range, a putting green and practice bunkers, plus a restaurant, bar and terrace, buggies and trolleys to rent, and lockers and showers. Green fees are €38.50 for nine holes and €71 for eighteen, and the course is open year-round.

Marina's note for learners
The practice bunkers are worth arriving early for — bunker play is where most club golfers quietly lose shots, and a calm routine going in makes a real difference on a proper parkland course. Getting comfortable in the sand is one of the first things I focus on when a player is ready to step up to a full-length introduction club.

A full parkland course with practice bunkers rewards the player who is calm in the sand — and bunker play is exactly where most club golfers quietly leak shots. Before stepping up to an introduction club like this, that is one of the first skills I like to build with a student: a simple, repeatable sand routine that turns a scary lie into an easy up-and-down.
Yes — a valid GVB card or handicap certificate is required to play here. No membership is needed, but you do need to show your handicap. If you are still working toward yours, the on-site academy is a great first step, and a few lessons with a PGA-certified instructor is the quickest way to get card-ready.
