Goyer Golf & Country Club sits at the edge of ’t Gooi in Eemnes, and it is one of the more unusual courses in the Utrecht region: an inland dune course. The Belgian architect Bruno Steensels shaped it in the American signature style, with large sand oases, water in play, and greens that golfers know for their speed. The club lists 18 holes at par 72, laid out in two loops of nine, so the round keeps returning you toward the clubhouse.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 8.5 out of 10 from 394 ratings, and on Hole19 it scores 4.8 out of 5 across 79 reviews. golf.nl even filmed a baanrapport here, so you can watch a flyover before you play. The club describes a full setup for a good day out — driving range, putting green, an on-site academy, a pro shop, a restaurant with a bar and terrace, plus buggies, clubs and trolleys to rent.
This is a championship layout, so it rewards stronger players and anyone who enjoys thinking their way around a course. Goyer is also a real home for young golfers: it runs a junior programme and a ladies programme, and lessons are available on site, which makes it a lovely place to grow into the longer game.
Goyer is a members’ club, affiliated with the NGF, and a valid handicap (GVB) is required to play. Visitors are welcome by introduction through a member, and the club takes online bookings. The green fee is around €125 for 18 holes and €90 for nine. To arrange a guest round, the club answers at 035-5393111 or info@goyer.nl , and it stays open year-round.
★ Suits: experienced golfers and strong players who enjoy a strategic championship layout, juniors and ladies in structured programmes, and club golfers building toward an NGF handicap.

Marina's note for learners
Before a round here, I focus on pace putting and course management — Goyer's fast greens and sand oases reward a clear plan from the first hole. At about 22 minutes from Utrecht, it is a natural next step after developing your game at Chi Chi Golf or Hoenderdaal.

Play video · privacy-friendly playerThose quick Goyer greens punish a careless putt and love a confident one, and the sand oases ask you to pick a target and commit. Before a round on a championship layout like this — about 22 minutes by car from Utrecht — the part I most enjoy teaching is pace putting and clear course management, so the speed becomes your friend instead of your surprise.
