Golfpark Wilnis is an 18-hole parkland course, par 72, laid out across the open polder of the Groene Hart. Gerard Jol and Michiel van der Vaart designed it, and it has welcomed golfers since 1985. The main course measures 5,859 metres and plays as two loops of nine — flat land, wide skies, and the quiet waterways that belong to Dutch polderland.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 8.2 out of 10 from 680 ratings, and its Google reviews average 4.5 out of 5 across 263 votes (checked 25 September 2026). Hole19 golfers give it 4.4 out of 5 from 105 ratings. The flat setting can look gentle at first sight, but the water and the clever routing ask for accuracy — this is a course that rewards a golfer who thinks about each shot rather than one who only swings hard.
It suits players who already hold a handicap and enjoy a round that keeps them honest. And it does not forget the newcomer: there is a par-3 short course, a golf academy, and a junior programme, so a beginner or a young player has a real, friendly place to start.
Golfpark Wilnis is pay-and-play, and visitors are genuinely welcome. For the main 18 holes you need a valid handicap or Dutch GVB, and you can book your tee time online. A green fee is around €70 for 18 holes and €30 for 9. If you do not yet have your GVB, the par-3 course is open to you first.
Practice here is a strong point. The driving range is covered and floodlit, so weather and short winter days are no excuse. There is a putting green, a short-game area, and practice bunkers — everything you need to warm up properly or work on one weak part of your game. Wilnis sits about 20 minutes from Utrecht, an easy drive for a morning round.
★ Suits: handicap holders who enjoy precise, rewarding parkland golf; beginners and juniors building confidence on the par-3 loop.

Marina's note for learners
I would tell a beginner to start on the par-3 loop and ask reception about baanpermissie for the full course — Wilnis is just 20 minutes from Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht, easy to pair with a lesson. Once you are ready for the 18 holes, think placement over power: the polder waterways reward the patient shot-maker.

This polder course looks flat and open, yet the water and the tight lines mean your score comes from placement, not power. Before a round at Wilnis, I would spend time on the wedges and on picking the safe side of each green — the small, boring shots that quietly save a card. That patient, thinking part of the game is the part I most love to teach.
Yes. The main 18-hole course requires a valid handicap or Dutch GVB (Golf Vaardigheids Bewijs). If you are still working towards yours, the par-3 short course is a great place to start — no handicap needed there.
An 18-hole round is around €70 and a 9-hole round around €30. Online tee-time booking is available at golfparkwilnis.nl, or you can call the club on 0297-281143 to check current rates and reserve your slot.
Yes. There is a dedicated par-3 short course for newcomers and young players, plus a golf academy, a junior programme, and lessons available on site. Golfers of all levels are welcome.
The driving range is covered and floodlit — useful year-round whatever the weather. You will also find a putting green, a short-game area, and practice bunkers, so you can work on every part of your game before or after your round.
Golfpark Wilnis is NGF-affiliated, so standard golf attire applies. The club is pay-and-play and genuinely visitor-friendly — bring your handicap card, book online, and you are all set.
Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and at Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — both an easy drive from Wilnis. A lesson with Marina is a great way to get the most out of a round at Golfpark Wilnis, especially if you want to sharpen your placement game on this precise polder course.
