Golfpark Spandersbosch sits inside the Goois Natuurreservaat, in the woods between Bussum and Hilversum. From the club’s own description, it is an 18-hole course laid out as two loops through the trees, playing to a par of 64 with a course rating of 65.2 and a slope of 130. Golfers may also know it as Golfclub Spanderswoud. The tree-lined fairways are its signature: finding the right line matters here, and the mature woodland around every hole gives the round its quiet character.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.8 out of 10 from 305 ratings. Hole19 puts it at 4.5 out of 5 from 40 ratings, and Tripadvisor shows 4.7 out of 5. Numbers like these tell you people enjoy their rounds here and come back.
Suits: accuracy-minded players, golfers sharpening their wedge play and putting, juniors, and beginners who hold a GVB card. The trees ask you to shape your ball and pick smart targets, so the course rewards a thoughtful, precise game over raw power. With a golf academy plus junior and ladies programmes on site, it is a welcoming place to grow as a player.
A valid NGF handicap card (GVB) is required, and the club asks members to introduce first-time guests, so a quick call or email before you come is the way in. Tee times can be booked online. A 9-hole round starts at around €30. Practice is well looked after: a floodlit driving range lets you warm up or work on your swing after dark, and there is a pro shop for anything you forget. Afterwards the clubhouse restaurant, bar and terrace look out over the reserve, and buggy and trolley hire are ready if you want them.
★ Suits: accuracy-focused players, improving golfers working on wedge play and putting, beginners with a GVB card, and juniors — tree-lined fairways reward placement over power.

Marina's note for learners
The par-64 layout makes course management and a reliable wedge game the whole story — exactly the skills I build with learners first. A tidy wedge and a steady putter will take you very far on a course like this.

A par-64 layout like this puts course management and a dependable wedge game at the heart of every round. Those are the first skills I build with a learner — pick the target, trust the swing, and the trees stop feeling like the enemy. Get your putting steady too, and a day among these fairways becomes real pleasure.
