Golfpark De Purmer sits on the polder land near Purmerend, in Noord-Holland. The club lists 27 holes here, laid out as three separate nine-hole loops that play to a par of 71 — parkland golf that two designers, Tom McAuley and Bruno Steensels, shaped when the course opened in 1989. Golfers on Hole19 rate it 4.2 out of 5 from 146 ratings, and the course also keeps a Tripadvisor page and an active Facebook page where visitors share their rounds.
Three loops means you choose the length of your day. Play one nine when time is short. Combine two, or all three, when you want to stay out longer. That flexibility is part of what makes the format so friendly.
Suits beginners first, and returning golfers who want to play again without pressure. It is pay-and-play, so no handicap or GVB card is needed — you book a tee time online and go. Groups fit well here too.
Access is simple. Green fees are €37.50 for nine holes and €75 for eighteen, booked online in advance. On site there is a driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and a golf academy, plus a restaurant for after your round. For someone building their game, that mix of open fairways and full practice ground is genuinely useful — you can warm up properly, then take everything you practised straight onto the course.
★ Suits: beginners, returning golfers, and groups who want flexible nine-hole loops without a membership or handicap requirement.

Marina's note for learners
I would suggest starting with one nine-hole loop before combining more — the open parkland fairways reveal swing tendencies clearly, making De Purmer a practical place to test what we have been working on together. No handicap is required, so it works well at any stage of the game.

Open parkland fairways show your swing honestly — there is nowhere for a wandering shot to hide, so a repeatable, balanced swing pays off more than raw power. That steady, dependable swing is the part of the game I most enjoy helping golfers build.

Yes. There is no handicap requirement, access is pay-and-play, and the course has an on-site golf academy, driving range, putting green, and short-game area. The open parkland layout rewards a steady, consistent swing over power, which makes it a practical place to get started.
