Golfpark De Loonsche Duynen opened in 1994 and sits on 95 hectares between the Loonse en Drunense Duinen nature reserve and Landgoed Huis ter Heide, near Kaatsheuvel in Noord-Brabant. The club describes a heathland course of 18 holes laid out in two loops, running through forest, sandy ground, water features and bunkers, so each hole keeps its own character. Golfers on LeadingCourses give it 7.6 out of 10 from 841 ratings — a warm, steady score that tells you people enjoy their round and come back.
It is a pay-and-play course. Visitors are welcome and you can book a tee time online before you arrive, which makes it easy to plan a day here without any fuss.
Suits: beginners and improving golfers first. The course is beginner-friendly, there is a short course to build confidence, and a golf academy on site for lessons at every level. Juniors are welcome and there are ladies programmes too, so it also works well for families and groups who want to play together.
For a golfer who wants to warm up properly, there is plenty here. The club lists a covered, floodlit driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers — the full set for sharpening the parts of your game that save the most shots. Afterwards the restaurant, bar and terrace are a relaxed place to sit down. On green fees the club lists €90 for 18 holes, in the mid range (€€) for the Netherlands; rates can change by day and season, so it is worth checking before you go.

Marina's note for learners
Heathland golf rewards a repeatable swing and a calm short game far more than raw power — those are the skills I most enjoy building with students. If you are new to the game, the short course and on-site academy here make this a very supportive place to begin.

Heathland golf on sandy ground with water and bunkers rewards a tee shot you can trust and calm decisions over raw power. That steadiness — a repeatable swing and a reliable short game — is the part I most enjoy teaching, and it is exactly what turns a moderate course like this into a happy, low-stress round.
Yes — a valid GVB card or handicap certificate is required before you play on the main course. No membership is needed though: Golfpark De Loonsche Duynen is a pay-and-play course, so any golfer with a GVB can book a tee time and come and play. If you are new to the game, the on-site golf academy and short course are a great way to work towards your GVB first.
18 holes are listed at €90, which puts it in the mid range (€€) for the Netherlands. Rates can vary by day and season, so it is worth checking the latest prices on the club website at golfparkdeloonscheduynen.nl or by calling 0416-749800 before you travel.
Yes, online booking is available directly through the club's website. Quick and straightforward to sort out before you make the trip to De Moer.
Very much so. The course is beginner-friendly, there is a short course for building confidence, and the on-site golf academy offers lessons for all levels. Juniors are warmly welcome and there are ladies programmes too — a good fit for families and mixed groups.
There is a covered and floodlit driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers — everything you need to warm up well or work on specific parts of your game.
Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — not at De Loonsche Duynen itself. A lesson with Marina before your visit is a great way to prepare: she enjoys helping golfers build the calm, repeatable swing that heathland courses like this one reward most.
