Golfclub Tespelduyn is a 9-hole, par-32 parkland course at Noordwijkerhout, set in the Bollenstreek — the Dutch flower-bulb region. From the club’s own description, the fairways run between the colourful bulb fields with wide, open views, and the 3rd hole tees off from a terp, a raised mound 23 metres high, so your opening shot flies out over the landscape. In spring the fields around the course turn to stripes of colour, which makes a round here easy to enjoy.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it scores 8.2 out of 10 from 1,100 ratings, and on Hole19 it holds 4.4 out of 5 from 84 reviews (checked 26 September 2026).
This is a short, relaxed course, and that is its strength: it suits beginners and juniors first, and any golfer who likes a scenic, unhurried round. The club runs a junior program and welcomes younger players, so it is a friendly place to take the first steps in golf.
Tespelduyn is a pay-and-play course, which keeps it open to everyone: you do not need to be a member, and no full handicap is required. You do need a baanpermissie — a basic playing permit — but one from any golf course in the Netherlands is accepted, so most golfers who have played before can simply book and come. A 9-hole round is €39.50, tee times are booked online, and the course is open year-round.
For practice there is a driving range, a putting green and a short-game area, plus an on-site academy, buggy rental and a restaurant for after the round.
★ Suits: beginners, juniors, and players who enjoy a scenic round amid the Bollenstreek flower fields.

Marina's note for learners
A par-32 layout that rewards clean iron play and a confident short game over raw distance is exactly where I would send a student ready to put their lessons into practice — most golfers who have played anywhere before already hold a baanpermissie for the visit.

A par-32 like this one rewards clean iron play and a steady short game far more than raw distance — there is no room to simply swing hard and chase a long drive. That is the kind of golf I most enjoy teaching: controlled approaches, confident chipping, and a putting stroke you can trust. Build those, and a course like Tespelduyn becomes a real pleasure to play.
No full handicap card or GVB is required. You do need a baanpermissie — a basic playing permit from any golf course in the Netherlands — but if you have played anywhere before, you almost certainly already have one. No membership is needed; you can simply book online and come.
A 9-hole round costs €39.50. You can book your tee time directly at golfbaantespelduyn.nl. The course is open year-round, so there is nearly always a time that suits you.
Yes — the short, relaxed par-32 layout is one of the friendliest places to start. There is a driving range, putting green, short-game area and an on-site academy if you want guidance before you head out. The club runs a dedicated junior programme and younger players are very welcome.

Yes, there is a restaurant on site — a nice place to sit and relax after your round. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the course.
Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen, not at Tespelduyn itself. A lesson with her is a great way to build the iron play and short game that a course like this rewards. You can book online, send a WhatsApp, or give her a call.
