Golfclub Rozenstein sits in Wassenaar, in the green belt near The Hague. It is a parkland course, 18 holes laid out among trees and open fairways, and it belongs to the NGF, the Dutch golf federation. From the club’s own description, the setting is calm and welcoming — the kind of place where a round feels unhurried.
What makes Rozenstein stand out is how much fits on one site. Alongside the 18 holes there is a separate short course, a driving range, a putting green, and a golf academy. So you can take a lesson, warm up, practise your short game, and play a full round, all in a single visit.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses, Rozenstein scores 7.9 out of 10 from 137 ratings. On Hole19 it holds 4.5 out of 5 from 95 golfers. Steady, happy numbers for a club of this size.
Suits: this is a fine home for beginners and juniors first. Rozenstein runs a dedicated junior program, and with the academy and the short course close at hand, young and new players have real room to grow. More experienced golfers who like to practise before they play will feel just as at home.
Rozenstein is a members’ club that welcomes guests by introduction. You will need a valid handicap (GVB) to play the 18 holes, which is normal for an NGF parkland course of this kind. An 18-hole green fee is €55, mid-range (€€) for Dutch golf, and buggies and trolleys are there to rent if you want an easy, comfortable day. A pro shop and a clubhouse restaurant round out the visit.
★ Suits: beginners and juniors building their game, and experienced golfers who want to practise and play all in one visit.

Marina's note for learners
Parkland asks for accuracy more than power, and that is exactly the control I love to build with students. With an academy and a short course on site, Rozenstein is a great place to put new skills straight into practice.

Parkland means trees, and trees reward a swing you can repeat. Placing the ball matters more here than raw power. That control, together with a reliable short game for the greens, is the part of golf I most enjoy teaching. Get those two working and a day at Rozenstein becomes pure pleasure.
Yes, a valid handicap (GVB) is required to play the 18 holes — standard for an NGF-affiliated parkland club of this kind. Rozenstein is a members' club that welcomes visitors; contact them via rozenstein.nl to arrange your tee time.
An 18-hole green fee is €55, which places Rozenstein in the mid-range (€€) for Dutch golf. Buggies and trolleys are available to rent, so the day stays comfortable whatever your pace.
It is a great fit. The club runs a dedicated junior program and has both a golf academy and a separate short course on site — so new players can take a lesson, practise their short game, and step onto a full 18-hole course all in one visit.
You will find a driving range, putting green, short course, golf academy, pro shop, and a clubhouse restaurant. Buggy and trolley hire are available, making it easy to enjoy the day at your own pace.
The club's own website (rozenstein.nl) is the best place to check current availability and booking options; online booking information was not confirmed at the time of writing, so a quick call or email to the club (070-5117846 · secretariaat@rozenstein.nl) is always a reliable way to secure your slot.
Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and at Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — not at Rozenstein itself. A lesson with her is a great way to prepare: those skills travel with you to any course, and Rozenstein is about 52 minutes from Utrecht.
