Golfclub Oosterhout sits in Oosterhout, in Noord-Brabant, and has welcomed golfers since 1985. It is an 18-hole parkland course — golf among mature trees, with woodland stretches and water features shaping the holes. From the club’s own description, the layout is varied, with long distances and strategic hazards, so the round asks you to think and not only to hit far. It is affiliated with the NGF, the Dutch golf federation.
Two things tell you how well it is liked. golf.nl places Golfclub Oosterhout among its Top 25 courses in the Netherlands — fine company for a club of this size. And golfers on Hole19 give it 4.6 out of 5 from 111 ratings, one of the warmer scores you will find.
Who will enjoy it most? Players who love a thoughtful round on classic parkland ground, and anyone building a rounded game. The mix of length and hazards rewards steady, repeatable golf over raw power. Beginners are welcome too — the club is set up to help you grow.
You need a valid handicap card (GVB) to play. Golfclub Oosterhout works with an introduction system, so you play as a guest when a member introduces you, or you contact the club directly to arrange your visit. Online tee-time booking runs through the club’s website, and the course is open year-round. After the last hole there is a restaurant with a bar and terrace — a nice place to sit and relive your best shots.
The practice side here is a real strength. There is a driving range, covered and floodlit, so you can work on your swing in any weather or after dark. Add a putting green and a short course for sharpening your approach play, and you have everything for a proper warm-up. The club also runs its own academy with lessons on site. For anyone who wants to improve, that is a wonderful combination.
★ Suits: players building a rounded game, golfers who enjoy tactical woodland play, and beginners stepping onto a full 18-hole layout for the first time.

Marina's note for learners
Before a first round at Oosterhout, I would work on distance control and course management — the woodland holes and water features reward placement over power, and that is exactly the kind of focused practice I love to build with students.

Oosterhout’s parkland asks for tidy, thoughtful golf — the trees and water mean your position off the tee matters more than pure distance. Before a round like this, I would spend time on a repeatable swing and a confident short game. Those two things turn a clever parkland layout into a really fun one, and it is the part I most love to teach.

Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — she does not teach at Golfclub Oosterhout itself. A lesson with her beforehand is a great way to prepare for a tactical parkland layout like Oosterhout; you can book directly online or send her a message to get started.
