Golfclub Kagerzoom is a 9-hole parkland course in Warmond, laid out in 1989 by the Dutch architect Gerard Jol. It sits right beside the Kagerplassen lakes, in the green heart of the Randstad, and the club holds a GEO environmental certificate for the way it cares for the nature around the fairways. The 9 holes play to a par of 70 over the full round, and the course’s own signature is hole 6 — a par-4 dogleg that bends along the water toward a landmark windmill standing behind the green. A real picture, not a mood.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.9 out of 10 from 155 ratings, and on Hole19 it scores 4.4 out of 5 across 81 golfers. The club’s own website lists a driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and a full golf academy, with a pro shop, restaurant and a terrace looking out over the lakes.
Suits new golfers and juniors first. The club runs its own academy and a junior programme, so this is a place where you can start from zero, take lessons, earn your card, and then step onto the same friendly nine to try it for real.
Kagerzoom is an introduction-access club, and a handicap — a GVB or equivalent — is required for the main course. Tee times can be booked online at kagerzoom.nl. A 9-hole round costs €30; play it twice for a full 18-hole day and the green fee is €48. If you do not have your GVB yet, the club’s academy is the natural way in — lessons first, then the course.
★ Suits: golfers earning their GVB, juniors, and anyone who appreciates a lakeside parkland nine with a full academy and GEO-certified grounds.

Marina's note for learners
A dogleg alongside water makes shot placement unavoidable — exactly what I build from the very first lesson. A club academy on site means learners can move from lesson tee to real fairway without a long gap.

Gerard Jol wove these holes between water and mature trees, so the round asks for control and a calm, repeatable swing more than raw power — especially on that dogleg sixth, where the smart line matters more than the long one. Placing the ball, managing the water, keeping tempo under a par of 70: that is exactly the part of the game I most love to teach.
Yes — a valid GVB card or equivalent handicap certificate is required for the main course. Kagerzoom is an introduction-access club, so no membership is needed, but you do need your playing certificate before stepping onto the fairway. If you have not earned yours yet, the club's own golf academy is the natural starting point.
A 9-hole round costs €30. Play the course twice for a full 18-hole day and the green fee is €48. These are visitor rates with no membership required.
Yes, online tee-time booking is available directly through the club's website at kagerzoom.nl — no need to call the clubhouse.
Very much so. The club runs its own golf academy and a dedicated junior programme, so new golfers can take lessons, earn their GVB, and then play the same friendly 9-hole parkland course as a natural next step. Group events are also on offer.
On site you will find a driving range, putting green, short-game area, golf academy, pro shop, restaurant, and a terrace overlooking the Kagerplassen lakes. Buggies, trolleys, club rental, lockers, and showers are all available, and the club holds a GEO environmental certificate for its care of the surrounding nature.
Absolutely. Marina is a PGA-certified instructor who teaches in Dutch, English, Ukrainian, and Russian. She gives lessons at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — a few sessions with her will build the technique and confidence to enjoy every hole at Kagerzoom, especially that par-4 dogleg beside the water at hole 6.
