Parkland since 1936
Golfclub Hoogland Amersfoort has been playing golf on the same ground since 1936. From the club’s own description, this is a nine-hole parkland course of par 34, measuring about 2,267 metres, with beautiful old trees and the Male Wetering stream winding through the holes. The water is placed with purpose: several hazards sit where they make you choose your line, so a smart, well-placed shot counts for more than a big one.
Golfers seem to enjoy that character. On LeadingCourses the course holds 7.7 out of 10 from 220 ratings, and on Hole19 golfers give it 4.1 out of 5 across 78 ratings. Two independent golfer communities, both warm about the same friendly, mature parkland.
Suits: beginners and juniors building their game first of all — the nine-hole loop is approachable and never overwhelming. It suits ladies and improving players too, especially anyone who likes a proper warm-up: the club runs a junior programme, a ladies programme, and group events, so every age and level has a place here.

For practice there is a covered driving range (a real gift in Dutch rain), a putting green, a short-game and chipping area, practice bunkers, and an on-site academy — a complete setup before or after your round.

Hoogland asks you to think. With water sitting exactly where it tempts a lazy line, the round pays off placement and a calm, repeatable swing over raw distance.
