Golfclub Gendersteyn sits in the green of Veldhoven, near Eindhoven in Noord-Brabant. It is a heathland course laid out by Alan Rijks, and its shape is unusual and rather charming: twenty-five holes across three loops — the Rode and Gele loops of nine holes each, plus the Blauwe loop of seven. The club describes the setting as a varied mix of forest, heath and open holes in the Brabant countryside, so no two rounds need feel quite the same. Par across the course is 71.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.7 out of 10 from 504 ratings, and on Hole19 it scores 4.1 out of 5 across 118 ratings (both checked 26 September 2026). Steady numbers, from a lot of players — the kind that usually means people come back.
Suits: this is a friendly home for golfers who are building their game. There is a golf academy on site, a covered and floodlit driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers — everything you need to warm up a swing before you take it out. Improvers and social golfers will feel at ease here, and the three-loop layout gives you room to grow into longer rounds at your own pace.
Visitors are welcome, but you do need a valid handicap or GVB to play the course. Booking is simple — you reserve your tee time online, no phone call needed. The green fee is €37.50 for 9 holes and €75 for 18. Afterwards there is a restaurant, a bar and a terrace, so you have a good spot to sit and talk over your round.
★ Suits: golfers building their game, players who enjoy heathland variety, ladies groups, and social rounds with a full practice area on hand.

Marina's note for learners
A course that rewards placement and a tidy short game is exactly where good fundamentals pay off — I would encourage anyone planning a visit here to work on ball-striking and chipping first, so the three varied loops become an enjoyable challenge rather than a guessing game.

Gendersteyn is not about raw distance. At par 71 over three varied loops through heath and trees, it rewards a repeatable swing and a tidy short game more than a big hit. That mix of forest and open holes asks you to place the ball, not only send it far — and steady contact plus confident chipping are exactly the parts of the game I most enjoy teaching before a round like this.
