Golfclub de Semslanden is a full 18-hole parkland course — the green, tree-lined kind of golf where the round asks you to place the ball, not just hit it hard. From the club’s own website, there is a golf academy on site, a driving range (covered), a putting green, and a short-game area, so you can warm up properly and work on the parts of your game that actually score. The clubhouse has a restaurant, a bar and a terrace, and the course is wheelchair accessible.
Golfers rate it well. On LeadingCourses it holds 8.1 out of 10 from 365 ratings, and on Hole19 it earns 4.5 out of 5 from 70 golfers — steady, warm numbers for a friendly club.
Who does it suit? Families and new golfers first. The club runs a junior program and keeps a short course to build confidence, and it is NGF-affiliated with lessons available on site. But an 8.1-rated parkland 18 rewards the regular player too, so a whole family can grow into it together.
Visitors are welcome, and the club asks for a handicap (GVB) plus an introduction — proof that you are ready for the course. You can book your tee time online through the club’s website, which makes planning a round simple (checked 26 September 2026). The club is open year-round, so there is no closed season to work around.
★ Suits: families, juniors, and aspiring golfers building toward the 18-hole course; also rewarding for regular players who appreciate well-rated parkland golf.

Marina's note for learners
A parkland layout rewards a repeatable, well-placed tee shot far more than raw power — and that controlled swing off the tee is exactly what I most enjoy working on with players before they head out to a course like this.

Parkland golf lives and dies by your tee shots — trees frame the fairways, and a repeatable, straight swing pays off far more than raw distance. That reliable shot off the tee is exactly the kind of thing I most enjoy teaching, and it is the part that turns a good day here into a great one.
Yes — a valid GVB card or handicap certificate is required to play the 18-hole course. Visitors are warmly welcome, but you will need an introduction from a member or proof of your playing ability alongside your GVB. No membership is required for a green-fee round.
Yes. You can book your start time directly through the club's website at semslanden.nl. The course is open year-round, so there is no closed season to work around.
Very much so. The club has a short course to build confidence before tackling the full 18-hole parkland layout, a dedicated junior program, and a golf academy on site. Families and new golfers are a genuine part of the club here.
There is a covered driving range, a putting green, a short-game area, and practice bunkers — everything you need to warm up well and work on the parts of your game that actually score before heading out.
Yes, parking is available at the club. The course and facilities are also wheelchair accessible, so golfers of all mobility levels can visit comfortably.
Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — not permanently at De Semslanden. A lesson with Marina is a great way to prepare your game, especially the repeatable tee shot that parkland golf rewards most.
