Golfclub Broekpolder sits in the polders of Vlaardingen, in Zuid-Holland. It is an 18-hole parkland course, par 72, laid out over about 6,007 metres. The routing began with the Dutch architect J.J. Frank Pennink, was reworked by Gerard Jol, and had a fresh renovation in 2021/2022 by Frank Pont — so the course you play today is a well-tended, modern version of a classic design.
The character comes from water. Open fairways run between ponds and channels edged with tall reeds, with the low, wide Midden-Delfland landscape opening around you. The club even took the frog as its own little symbol, a nod to all that water and reed. It gives Broekpolder a friendly, unmistakable identity.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.5 out of 10 from 174 ratings, and on Hole19 it scores 4.5 out of 5 across 53 golfers (checked 26 September 2026). Those are steady, happy numbers for a course that asks you to think.
Suits: this is a course with a bit of bite, so stronger players who enjoy placing the ball will feel at home first. But the fairways are open and generous, which also makes it a fair, rewarding place for players who are building their game and want room to swing.
Broekpolder is pay-and-play, and visitors are welcome. You can book your tee time online, and the 18-hole green fee is around €85. For practice there is a driving range, a putting green and a short-game area, plus a golf academy on site, a pro shop, buggy rental and a clubhouse restaurant for after your round.
For a learner, that mix is ideal: warm up, work on your short game, then take on the water holes with a plan.
★ Suits: golfers who enjoy precise shotmaking around water and reeds; also a fair, rewarding day out for developing players who want open fairways and room to build their game.

Marina's note for learners
Water-lined parkland like Broekpolder is where accurate shotmaking and calm course management really count — the skills I most enjoy helping players build. Book a lesson and we can prepare you for exactly that kind of challenge.

The water is the story here. Reeds line the fairways and ponds guard the approaches, so Broekpolder rewards a repeatable swing and smart course management far more than raw distance. That balance of accuracy and calm decision-making under a little pressure is exactly the kind of golf I most enjoy helping players build.
