Golfbaan Zeumeren is short golf that plays like the real thing. The club’s own website presents it as a 9-hole par-3 course in Voorthuizen — nine holes, par 27, run under the shortgolfen.nl name — set among height changes, woodland and an adjacent recreation lake that give the round a genuinely varied feel. Every hole is a par 3, so you carry a wedge, a short iron and a putter, and you play the parts of golf that decide most scores.
Golfers on LeadingCourses rate it 8.3 out of 10 from 8 ratings — a warm score for a small course, and the club also keeps an active Facebook page where you can see the layout by the water. There is a driving range and a golf academy on site, plus a restaurant and a bar with a terrace for after your round.
Suits: beginners first, then juniors and golfers coming back to the game after a break. On a par-3 course nobody needs to hit the ball a long way, so a new player finds the fairway, reaches the green and feels like a real golfer from the very first hole. It is honest practice for approach play and putting, wrapped up in a friendly nine.
Zeumeren is NGF-affiliated, and you do need a GVB baanpermissie or a handicap card to play here — the club lists it as intro access with visitors welcome. Tee times can be booked online at shortgolfen.nl, or by phone on 06-10923277. The green fee is gentle: €21 for 9 holes, €32 for 18, which makes it one of the friendliest prices for a real round in Gelderland. If you do not have your baanpermissie yet, a lesson or two is usually the quickest way to earn it and get straight onto the course.
★ Suits: beginners earning their first baanpermissie, juniors, golfers returning to the game, and anyone looking to sharpen approach play and putting.

Marina's note for learners
A par-3 layout is one of the best environments for building wedge and putting confidence — I often suggest a lesson focused on approach shots before visiting a course like this. If you do not yet have your baanpermissie, a couple of lessons is usually the quickest way to earn it and get straight onto the course.

A par-3 course rewards the part of golf that scares most players and helps them least: the shot from 100 metres and in. Clean contact with a wedge, a steady putting stroke, the confidence to aim at a flag — that is the whole game at Zeumeren, and it is exactly the work I most enjoy teaching before a round like this.
Yes — a valid GVB baanpermissie or handicap certificate is required to play. No membership is needed; visitors are welcome. If you do not have your baanpermissie yet, a lesson or two with a PGA pro is usually the quickest way to earn it and get straight onto the course.
A 9-hole round costs €21 and an 18-hole round (two loops) costs €32 — among the friendliest prices for a real round of golf in Gelderland. You can book a tee time online at shortgolfen.nl or call 06-10923277.

Very much so. Every hole is a par 3, so no one needs to hit the ball a long way — new golfers build confidence quickly and children succeed from their very first visit. The club also has a golf academy on site if you want a lesson before or after your round.
Yes — Zeumeren has a restaurant and a bar with a terrace, ideal for relaxing and enjoying a drink while looking out over the recreation lake.
Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — both an easy drive from Voorthuizen. A lesson focused on wedge play and putting is a great way to prepare for a par-3 course like this. You can book online, WhatsApp, or call Marina directly.
