Golfbaan Anderstein sits in the woods of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, at Maarsbergen. It gives you 27 holes, played as three nine-hole loops — Vallei, Heuvelrug and Heide — so no two rounds have to feel the same. The club lists par 72 and a heathland course that runs through the trees. It is NGF-affiliated, and it is about 20 minutes from Utrecht.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it scores 8.3 out of 10 from 554 ratings, and on Hole19 it holds 4.6 out of 5 from 145 ratings. Steady, happy numbers that tell you people enjoy their day here.
Suits: this is a course for golfers who like to think a little. The forest lines the fairways, so placing the ball matters more than pure power. Beginners and juniors are welcome too; the club runs an active junior programme and its own academy. But the round rewards a player who can shape a tidy shot between the trees.
Anderstein is a club course you reach through an introduction, and a valid handicap (GVB) is required, so plan your visit with the club first. You can book a tee time online, which makes it simple. The green fee is €80 for 18 holes and €42.50 for 9 (checked 25 September 2026), placing it in the premium range for Dutch golf.
For practice there is plenty: a covered driving range, a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers, plus the on-site academy. After the round the restaurant, bar and terrace are there, and buggies are available if you want to save your legs.
★ Suits: golfers working on course management and shot-shaping, juniors and beginners through the on-site academy, and anyone who enjoys a varied round across three different nines.

Marina's note for learners
From Chi Chi Golf or Hoenderdaal, Anderstein is about 20 minutes into the Heuvelrug — I recommend it to students who are ready to practise placing the ball on tree-lined fairways; contact the club to arrange an introduction and bring your GVB card.

Marina teaches at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht and Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen — not at Anderstein itself. A lesson with her at either venue is an excellent way to work on the controlled, tree-lined play that Anderstein rewards; book at romanik.nl.
