Crayestein sits on the edge of Dordrecht, at the border of the Hollandse Biesbosch. From the club’s own description, the 18-hole parkland course is wrapped by three waterways — the Wantij, the Spaarbekken and the Merwede — so water and open sky are part of almost every hole. It plays to a par of 71 over roughly 4,734 metres, a walk that asks for placement more than power.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.0 from 502 ratings, and on Hole19 it sits at 4.0 from 65. LeadingCourses also named it a Golfers’ Choice course for 2026, 31st in South Holland (checked 26 September 2026). It is an NGF-affiliated course with a real tournament pedigree, too — Crayestein has hosted the European Senior Tour more than once.
Who does it suit? Improving players who enjoy a fair, thinking parkland round, and complete beginners: there is a golf academy on site, so this is a place you can start from zero and grow.
Crayestein is pay-and-play, which means no membership is needed — but a valid GVB or handicap is required for the 18-hole course. You book your tee time online in a couple of minutes. An 18-hole green fee is €59.50, and 9 holes is €47.50.
For practice, the club has a covered, floodlit driving range you can use in any weather, a putting green, a short-game area and practice bunkers. After the round there is a restaurant with a bar and terrace looking back over the parkland.
★ Suits: improving players who enjoy a placement-focused parkland round, beginners working toward their GVB certificate, and anyone who wants a complete day — practice, play, and restaurant — without a membership.

Marina's note for learners
I would tell a beginner to start with the on-site academy and earn the GVB first — the waterway holes reward a placed, repeatable shot far more than raw power, so a solid foundation makes every visit here better.

With the rivers close on so many holes, Crayestein rewards a golfer who plots a way round rather than one who simply swings hard. The course is not long, so a repeatable, well-aimed shot counts for far more than raw distance here — and building that steady, confident swing is exactly the part of the game I most enjoy teaching.
Yes — a valid GVB card or handicap certificate is required to play the 18-hole course. No membership is needed, though: Crayestein is pay-and-play, so any qualified visitor can book a tee time and show up on the day.
An 18-hole round costs €59.50; a 9-hole round is €47.50. You can book your tee time directly on the Crayestein website in a couple of minutes.
Yes. Crayestein has an on-site golf academy where you can work toward your GVB certificate before stepping onto the main course. The parkland layout rewards placement over power, which makes it a great place to build a repeatable swing once you have your certificate.
There is a covered, floodlit driving range you can use whatever the weather, plus a putting green, a short-game area, and practice bunkers — a complete warm-up or after-round practice session all in one place.
Yes — Crayestein has a restaurant with a bar and terrace where you can relax with a drink or a meal and look back over the parkland course.
