Brunssummerheide Golf Club sits in the open heathland of Brunssum, deep in Limburg. The club counts a remarkable 45 holes of heath golf — a generous spread you rarely find at one address, with plenty of room to play a different round each visit. It has grown here since 1985, and today it is an NGF-affiliated club set right in the heather and pine of the region.
Golfers rate it warmly. On LeadingCourses it holds 7.6 out of 10 from 639 ratings, and on Hole19 4.3 out of 5 from 112 ratings (checked 25 September 2026) — steady numbers that tell you people come back. It is a members-with-introduction club, so visitors are welcome when a member introduces them or when they arrange it with the club first; a round costs about €70. Booking is by phone or email, not online yet.
Who does it suit? This is open heathland golf, and the club positions itself for players who want space and variety across those 45 holes. There is a full driving range and an on-site academy, so it also gives beginners and juniors a real place to start and grow.
The academy and driving range make Brunssummerheide a good base for lessons and warm-up work. If you are still building your handicap toward the club’s introduction rules, that practice ground is where the confidence comes from before you step onto the heath.
★ Suits: experienced golfers seeking variety across 45 heathland holes, and beginners or juniors building their game with an on-site academy and driving range.

Marina's note for learners
Heathland golf asks for repeatable ball contact and smart decisions on every hole — exactly what I enjoy building with a golfer before a destination round like this. A session focused on strike quality and shot shaping is the best preparation I can give you for those open fairways.

Open heathland rewards a swing you can repeat and a smart eye for where to leave the ball, because the heather does not forgive a wild shot. Solid ball contact and a clear plan for each hole matter far more than raw power here — and that steady, repeatable contact is exactly the part of the game I most enjoy building with a golfer.

Marina does not teach at Brunssummerheide itself, but a lesson with her at Chi Chi Golf in Utrecht or Golfschool Hoenderdaal in Driebergen is a great way to prepare — solid ball contact and smart shot choices make a real difference on open heathland. Book online, by WhatsApp, or by phone.
